The Industrial Careers Pathway (ICP) links students to career paths in industrial distribution through partnerships with local educators and employers. NAHAD is an Alliance Partner of ICP, giving all members access to the tools and training they provide.

The ICP benefits:

  • Students, by providing a pathway to a career with good wages, benefits and a career progression.
  • Community colleges, by developing courses and programs that meet local employer needs. 
  • Distributors and manufacturers, by providing a pipeline of qualified entry-level candidates and quality training for current employees.

ICP Resources for NAHAD Members:

Become an ICP Ambassador- A key component of the ICP initiative happens in the communities where distributors live, do business and have an economic impact. It is there, at the local level, that distributors need to find those early-career distribution professionals. It is there, at the local level, that employees and potential employees need training and education options, information and access to distributors. 

ICP AMBASSADORS become the face and voice of industrial distribution and the distribution channel in their community. The project you undertake will reflect your interest and ideas about what is needed in your region, the time you have available and your schedule. ICP will work with an AMBASSADOR to develop an individual action plan.

Elements of Industrial Distribution - Online training courses that are ideal for orienting new staff, preparing interns, transitioning employees into new positions or broadening the understanding of employees in niche roles. Best of all, these courses are offered at a discount to NAHAD members!
